INFORMATION

In 2012, Leif Edling decided to start a side project to Candlemass, where he has been the band’s engine since 1984. This of course attracted a lot of attention in the metal world, especially as Grammy-nominated producer Marcus Jidell joined on guitar and when singer Jennie-Ann Smith took her place behind the microphone, the new doom metal sensation Avatarium was a fact. In 2013, the highly acclaimed debut EP “Moonhorse” was released and since then the band has continued its winning streak. Edling left the band in 2016 for health reasons, but after that Mats Rydstöm has treated the bass with gusto and the band has today released five full-lengths, another EP and a live album. Since the band hasn’t played in the hometown for a long time, we are incredibly proud and happy to be able to present Avatarium on our stage!
