INFORMATION

Wormwood was formed in Stockholm in 2014 and delivers a cinematic and melancholy metal. First EP “The Void” from 2015 drew more towards black’n’roll, while “Ghostlands” which came in 2017 solidified the band’s more melancholic and grandiose sound. Since then, they have continued to develop this with, among other things, two strong themed records behind them and the majority of songs in Swedish. Expect an epic journey through the dark when Wormwood takes our stage.
The first production “THE VOID” (EP 2015), mixed Black´n´Roll with elements of folk tone.
However, it was only with “GHOSTLANDS” (2017), that the band’s melancholic sound began to be defined.
“NATTARVET” (2019) explored the destinies of people in the 19th century famine disaster in the Nordic region.
“THE ARCHIVE” (2021) depicts humanity’s devastating imprint on the planet.
“THE STAR” (2024), takes listeners through the cosmos and the mental trials of man.
